My path to shamanic healing

I would say that to do this, it is not a qualification you receive after 3 / 4 years of training. I is away of life, a way of being, and a continual journey. It is a commitment, it is a calling, and once started, there is no going back.

Everything becomes about walking the path of beauty, making alchemy out of all things, finding and seeking medicine in nature, through dreams, creativity, drum journeys, going deep within. It has been an intensely spiritual journey and it still continues.

This path was not something I sort after. When the calling to do this first came to me, I was told in dreams, I had unique experiences and through those, powerful messages. I started to shed old skin, restructure my way of being in the world and through the years, I worked constantly with the shadow self. Once any of us start to do this work the more shadow we have to face and I won't lie, it's not easy.

It is about feeling, really feeling from the heart. I didn't really realise what that meant until I went on a vision quest, truly went deep, connecting with the world and nature around me while using the teachings given. The work can be hard, and it is, but it is also magical. even if you only experience it as a client, it still has a profound affect.

It can be underestimated and very subtle but make no bones about it, experiencing the healing and processes of the healing, the changes it can have to your life when studying it on a deep level can and has been immensely powerful. My first experience before any conscious commitments was when I was a client and had several sessions with a shaman from Switzerland. In 6 months, my lower back pain had completely vanished. Before this I had to have regular treatments with a chiropractor every three months, otherwise, I would be laid up for a week.

My journey goes on and I wouldn't change it. This way has been transformative and changed so much that I am so glad is not part of my anymore.
